Hailing from Caldicot in South Wales, The Bug Club are a three-piece ‘pŵer’ trio currently turning heads, hearts, eyes and ears following the release of their debut EP ‘Launching Moondream One’ in early 2021 through Bingo Records. This diverse and delightful collection of songs was immediately lauded and pushed by the likes of Focus Wales, Marc Riley at BBC 6 Music, BBC Wales, BBC Scotland and Radio X. Their track ‘The Fixer’ taken from the ‘Pure particles EP’ was well-received and championed again by the same people, as well as receiving extensive play by and interview segments for Steve Lamacq as part of his BBC6 music drivetime show and his new music spotlight show. The track was added to the BBC 6 Music playlist.
The Bug Club are accomplished live performers. The band were consistently active across the second half of 2021 playing sold out club headline shows, as well as supporting Pip Blom (UK tour), Buzzard Buzzard Buzzard, Cool Greenhouse, Willie J Healey and Mr Ben & The Bens. Their forthcoming UK tour has mostly sold out as well as most of the April shows. 2021 also saw the creation of a great team around them; a label, management, booking agent, and a radio promotions team, who will all work to facilitate the band’s objective to grow their exposure and support within Europe and North America throughout 2022. April saw the physical release of the ‘Pure Particles’ EP (vinyl) followed by two more singles, ‘Intelectuals’ and ‘Two Beauties’ with their debut full-length album imminent.
The band have recently announced details of their debut album ‘Green Dream In F#’ which will be released through Bingo Record on 14th Oct. Two tracks have been released from the album to date: ‘It’s Art’ & ‘Love Is A Painting’. The band embark on a 23-date UK tour in October.
